Two more have died ...

It was all too good to be true ... fingers crossed for the last one.

One baby didn't make it ...

We lost one of them today, probably it was too weak. It was a miracle that Clare managed to revive all of them in the first place. Fingers crossed for the remaining three. Flea is still a bit clumsy but definitely protective of them. Let's hope for the best.

Shellshocked

Flea and her babies, born and rescued today ...

Flea had babies today!

Flea was very confused. She didn't know what to do with the kittens (four of them), so she tried to bury them in the litter and leave them all over the room. Luckily, Clare came in in time to find the kittens, uncleaned, with placentas still attached, strewn all over but still breathing a little. Clare has been calming Flea, playing healing sounds ("Take That" tour ?!??!) and it seems to be working. We don't know if all the kittens will make it, but fingers crossed. Flea is shell shocked and can't quite work it out. She wants lots of reassurance, and is now allowing the kittens to suckle and is definitely grateful for Clare's expert musical choice. Clare, after all, is a trained jazz vocalist. Flea is in good hands, methinks :-)

Daddy of the litter is our gorgeous Bobby Wonder. Watch this space.

The Little Flea is back home with us

Rhubi, aka Lula Flea, has moved back to North London. Her family are moving to America and are not able to take her with them. The decision was an emotional one, and not easy for Reema and her family.

But our little Flea is not so little anymore, with fabulous spots, eartips and a perfect tail! Perhaps she'll have a litter of kittens this summer ....

Someone is a happy little bunny...

Not sure who is more happy - the kids or the cat! Our little Flea, now known as Rubie-Lou, seems to have taken charge in her new home. She is obviously loved to bits by the entire family:

"We have decided to change Lula Flea's name to Rubie-Lou, Rubie for short. She is very active and constantly running around. She is developing beautifully. We all love her and think she is absolutely adorable. Rubie follows us around every where. Rubie likes looking at Minnie our pet hamster."

Our little jumping Flea went to her new home today!

Lula Flea is moving the South London. Jamal may have an alergy to cats, so, fingers crossed, all goes well. Otherwise, we will welcome her back to our home here again.
Good luck Reema and family!
